Despite their small size, the microchannels are large enough for axons<\/strong>, but not cell bodies, to pass through<\/strong> and project into (and interact with cultures located in) the adjacent chamber creating a more physiological model.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div> If you are just starting out, we recommend using the OMEGA4<\/sup>\u00a0device<\/a> with two experiments per device<\/strong>. We know bonding devices can be a real hassle! That's why we ship our OMEGA devices pre-bonded<\/strong> and\u00a0completely ready-to-go<\/strong> so that you can focus on performing experiments without losing time. OMEGA4<\/sup><\/a> and OMEGA4-2MINI<\/sup><\/a> devices are pre-bonded to #1.5 glass coverslips and OMEGA96<\/sup> plates<\/a> are pre-bonded to 200\u00b5m high-transmissive glass. All devices come sterile in PBS<\/strong>. There is no need for you to use any plasma treatment!<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div> The unique open chamber design<\/strong> gives you direct access to your cultures! With OMEGA devices, you can explore new types of experimental paradigms not possible with standard closed-chamber devices. For example, chambers are large enough to house tissues that are several millimeters in diameter, easily accomodating tissue explants<\/strong> or self-assembled 3D cultures<\/strong> (e.g. spheroids, organoids).
