NEURONAL CO-CULTURE DEVICES
Our OMEGA double-chamber microfluidic devices are perfectly suited for experiments involving neuronal co-culture and compartmentalization.
The unique design requires only two chambers per experiment, effectively doubling the number of experiments per area compared to conventional co-culture devices.
Each set of two culture chambers are physically separated by a series of microfluidic channels. The small size of the microchannels serve to fluidically isolate each of the adjoined chambers, but are large enough to allow neurites/axons to project into and interact with cultures located in the adjacent chamber.
OMEGA devices feature identical culture chambers on either side of the microchannels and are available in 4-well and 96-well format.
The OMEGA4-2mini features smaller chambers on one side of the microchannel so you can save on cells and culture media. The OMEGA4-2mini is available in 4-well format.
TRIPLE-CHAMBER NEURONAL CO-CULTURE DEVICES
Our OMEGAACE devices each contain three serially-adjoined culture chambers, providing researchers with the ability to perform more specialized experiments.
OMEGAACE devices can be used for in vitro triple co-culture studies of neurodegeneration, neuromuscular junction (NMJ), nigrostriatal pathway, pain, myelination, or chemotactic factors. They also suit themselves for studying neuronal propagation of toxic or misfolded proteins! In single culture applications, the OMEGAACE can serve as a compartmentalization tool to separate the somatic, proximal axonal and distal axonal (growth cone) components of neurons.
Available in three different formats with differently sized middle chambers.
AXON GUIDANCE AND CHEMOTAXIS DEVICE
We designed the OMEGAAG device to help researchers study axon guidance and chemotactic factors in vitro.
The device has 4 chambers that are each connected to a central viewing area via a series of microchannels. The flow of fluid across the microchannels can be controlled by simply adjusting the relative fluid volumes in each of the chambers. This asymmetric volume loading of the chambers can serve to fluidically isolate adjacent chambers (like for our original OMEGA device), but can also be used to control the direction of flow into and out from the viewing area.
MICROFLUIDIC + 3D CULTURE DEVICES
NEUROMUSCULAR JUNCTION DEVICES
We designed the OMEGANMJ specifically to best recapitulate neuromuscular synaptic physiology in vitro.
Motor neurons seeded in the neuronal culture chamber extend axons into the adjoined oval muscle chamber through a series of microchannels that serve to fluidically isolate the two culture chambers. This way, the somatic motor neuron components are not directly exposed to the muscle they innervate, forming a system that more closely resembles the native neuromuscular physiology.
Available in 4-well and and soon in 96-well format.
3D SKELETAL MUSCLE CULTURE DEVICES

Compared to monolayer muscle cultures that are known to detach from the surface after a short period of time, 3D skeletal muscle is stable for longer-term culture applications and matures more rapidly and completely. This increased physiological relevance of this system makes it ideal for the development of new disease models of both muscle and neuromuscular disorders.
Available in 2-well and 96-well format.
REUSABLE EMBRYOID BODY FORMATION DEVICES
Ready to make the jump to 3D cultures in your research? Maximize spheroid formation and your time with our EB-DISKs. Change the media of up to 948 EBs at the same time. The flexible and durable material of the disk makes transferring embryoid bodies a breeze – simply pop them out of the EB-DISKs into a larger culture vessel for further development.
EB-DISKs are available in various formats, so that you can easily grow up to 948 embryoid bodies in a single 60mm petri dish!

ALL-IN-ONE SPHEROID MICROPLATE
